There is something for everyone to enjoy on the next OPALs (Older People With Active Lifestyles) trip set for Monday, May 14!

Their initial stop will be at the Hartville Market Place in Hartville, Ohio. This unique indoor market has over 100 shops featuring food, fashion, crafts, antiques, home decor and more. From there the OPALs group will head to the Gervasi Vineyard for a delightful lunch that includes a wine tasting. All will then enjoy a guided tour of the vineyard and time to purchase some wine to take home. The final stop of the day will be in Canton to see the Pro Football Hall of Fame with plenty of time to explore the exhibits and learn about the legends of the game. The OPALs will depart for home at 5:00 pm and make a quick snack stop in Cambridge with approximate arrival home around 8:00 pm.

The OPALs program is for folks fifty-five years of age and older and is sponsored by Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital. It has been in existence for twenty-eight years. OPALs Director Mary Velez said, “I am really looking forward to this day trip in May. It has so many different stops included that will appeal to a wide audience.
