Intensive Outpatient Program
Intensive outpatient programming at Hillcrest Behavioral Health Services is available for patients with a dependency to drugs or alcohol. Chemical dependency is more than a drug or alcohol problem that's out of control. It's a medically diagnosable and treatble primary disease that is chronic, progressive and potentially fatal. The illness of addiction negatively affects not only the individual, but their family, friends, employer and community as well. The Touchstones IOP program provides an organized effort of treatment to help individuals to develop positive lifestyles and relationships with family and friends as much as possible. This treatment program is ideal for the client who meets critera for a less restrictive level of care.
Our intensive outpatient program is designed for adult patients and can be adapted according to the unique invididual needs of the patient. The program includes:
- initial intake/assessment
- group therapies
- family educational sessions
In addition, clients are encouraged to participate in AA, NA or other self-help groups during the course of their treatment to help focus on addition and the recovery process.
Hillcrest Behavioral Health Services' Touchstone IOP meets every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Clients must be abstinent and in a stable medical condition to participate. For more information regarding the Touchstones IOP, please call 304-234-8887.
