Laboratory Services
The clinical laboratories at Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital are dedicated to providing quick and convenient diagnostic testing.
Our full-service laboratories are open every day, around the clock for immediate response to the Emergency Department and acute inpatient needs. Clinical diagnostic and therapeutic testing are available in the areas of chemistry, hematology, blood banking, microbiology, coagulation, urinalysis and anatomical pathology. These departments test blood and vrious body fluids to aid the physicians in both diagnosing illness as well as providing results to assess treatment of the patient. Enhancements in the medical technology field are constantly being reviewed and evaluated for the benefit of patients' health. State-of-the-art automation and computerization, combined with highly skilled technical and support staff, provide better patient care.
Our laboratories utilize modern equipment along with a human touch to provide accurate, reliable results to the physicians who are caring for our patients.
