Michael Caruso, president and CEO of Ohio Valley Health Services and Education, is pleased to announce Mark T. Voellinger, M.D., has joined Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital's medical teams.
Native to the Ohio Valley and a graduate of Wheeling Central, Voellinger is a gastroenterologist board-certified in internal medicine and is a fellow with the National Institutes of Health and the University of Maryland Medical Center in Maryland. He earned his medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine where he served as chief resident before completing his fellowships. Voellinger joins OVMC with experience in treating a wide range of patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal system. His professional affiliations are extensive with memberships in the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Medical Association, to name a few.
“I am eager to bring my experience treating patients and extensive education and research to OVMC,” said Voellinger.
Voellinger specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases involving the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, colon, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.
