Ohio Valley Medical Center inducted five senior students into the Lambda Nu National Honor Society for Radiologic and Imaging Sciences on Sunday, December 3rd.

The ceremony was held in the Nurse’s Residence living room, where the program faculty presented each inductee with membership pins, honor cords, and a Lambda Nu certificate of membership. The ceremony was attended by family, friends, and OVMC staff and administration.

There are a total of 184 Lambda Nu Chapters located in 43 states, five of which are in West Virginia. This past Fall, Lambda Nu awarded 18 scholarships. Two OVMC students, Stephanie Adams and Heather Taylor, were recipients of the essay scholarship.

The Lambda Nu National Honor Society is based on merit and fosters academic scholarship at the highest levels. Membership in Lambda Nu is contingent on exemplary didactic and clinical grade averages while in the Radiography program. All members of the West Virginia Omega Chapter must have a combined didactic and clinical grade average of 94%. OVMC is proud to have 27 qualifying members in the Lambda Nu WV Omega Chapter.
