OVHS&E Interim President and CEO Jan Jennings has named Lisa Simon, CPA as new chief financial officer for Ohio Valley Health Services and Education, parent company of Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital.

"Lisa brings a positive, upbeat attitude and outlook to OVMC and EORH at a critical time in the organization's path to success," said Jan Jennings, interim president and CEO. "More than anything, Lisa is a great story of a Wheeling native returning to home to provide a level of experience and leadership that is essential at a time when the health care marketplace is dynamic and challenging."

Most recently, Simon was an acting partner at Arnett & Foster, P.L.L.C. in Charleston, W.Va. Simon spent 11 years as a health care division member managing financial and compliance audits for numerous health care providers.

"OVMC and EORH are two health care institutions that place care at the forefront of everything they do," said Simon. "I am extremely eager to work hand-in-hand with the leaders and administration of OVHS&E to continue the financial success and viability the health care system has experienced in recent months."

Prior to her tenure at Arnett & Foster, Simon was acting Chief Financial Officer of the Home Care division at Charleston Area Medical Center based in Charleston, W.Va.  She spent three years with CAMC managing financial and medical records documentation and financial preparation. Prior to her time at CAMC, Simon served as a manager accountant for Doak, Cuppett & Poling in Clarksburg, W.Va.

"Returning home to the Ohio Valley has always been a wish of mine," said Simon. "For my children to have the opportunity to grow up in a place I call home is a great feeling. I believe in the vitality of this community and I'm extremely excited to be here and working for one of the excellent hospital systems the Ohio Valley provides."

Simon completed her bachelor's degree from Wheeling Jesuit College in 1991. She resides in Wheeling with her husband and three children.
Ohio Valley Medical Center, located in Wheeling West Virginia, and East Ohio Regional Hospital, located in Martins Ferry Ohio, are a 340 bed combined organization with over 1800 employees providing quality primary and tertiary healthcare to the Ohio Valley.
