Insurance Information

Patients should bring their insurance card(s) upon admission to Ohio Valley Medical Center or East Ohio Regional Hospital. If the insurance provider requires precertification, patients or their physicians should contact the provider before admission. The hospital cannot assume responsibility for reduced payment by the insurance carrier if precertification is not provided.

Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital accept many different insurance plans requiring co-payments from patients upon receiving medical treatment at the hospital. Since each insurance company pays differently, it is necessary that patients bring their insurance cards with them each time they receive treatment. It is also necessary for co-payments to be made when patients receive service. Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card. The hospital accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards.
