Laboratory Services

The clinical laboratories at Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital are dedicated to providing quick and convenient diagnostic testing. 

Our full-service laboratories are open every day, around the clock for immediate response to the Emergency Department and acute inpatient needs. Clinical diagnostic and therapeutic testing are available in the areas of chemistry, hematology, blood banking, microbiology, coagulation, urinalysis, and anatomical pathology. These departments test blood and various body fluids to aid the physicians in both diagnosing illnesses as well as providing results to assess the treatment of the patient. Enhancements in the medical technology field are constantly being reviewed and evaluated for the benefit of patients' health. State-of-the-art automation and computerization, combined with highly skilled technical and support staff, provide better patient care.

Our laboratories utilize modern equipment along with a human touch to provide accurate, reliable results to the physicians who are caring for our patients. Our staff possesses a sincere concern for our patients and for making the process as brief and stress-free as possible when performing diagnostic testing.
