Older People With Active Lifestyles at Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital
The OPALs program at Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital is a group of residents of the Ohio Valley, ages 55 years and older who are active and want to remain active. This organization is designed to help you maintain your vitality and a healthy lifestyle! Our goal is to provide you with education and experiences that promote wellness and well-being. Our members enjoy a wide range of benefits including free parking, free yearly cholesterol screenings, educational programs, free exercise classes, organized day and multi-day trips, social activities, discounts at the hospital gift shop and cafeteria, as well as a free subscription to our monthly newsletter.
If you're interested in joining one of our exercise classes, call the OPALs office and request that an exercise participation packet be sent to you. Once you've completed each of the forms, return them to the OPALs office to arrange a time to begin the class. A yearly update of this information is necessary for you to continue participating.
To join us for an advertised OPALs trip, simply call the reservation line on or after the callpin date. After you've called to reserve your seat, a reminder card will be mailed to you two weeks before payment is due. Then a week before the trip, an itinerary and emergency contact/release form will be mailed to you.
